A lot of crack users have the resources to buy the software, but since they don't have to due to the existence of cracks, they just spend it on other stuff. * yeah, I know Reaper isn't actually free.That is a load of shit. I agree that people who proudly use cracked ware while driving a BMW don't deserve much respect (and I'm always suspicious of people who complain about dongles), but when there is no free "learning curve"-version available of a piece of software, the company making it shouldn't be surprised when their product gets cracked. Let's not forget, a free*-to-try DAW like Reaper has only been available for a couple of years, and it isn't that well-known yet. Later on in life, when cash becomes less of a problem, they can go on to buy the newest retail version and benefit from the updates and full user support. There are plenty of young people with very little money who won't have to think twice when given the opportunity to use a cracked version of a tried-and-true piece of software like Cubase.
